5. What are the chances of a person with this disease passing the disease to their offspring?

This disease is not usually passed down through families. There is a 1 in a 400 million chance that the disorder was passed down through their family. The gene change is almost always an occurrence that is exceedingly rare. Even if two people who were not carriers or didn’t even have the disorder had a baby, the baby could still possibly have the disorder.
